I live in New Zealand and probably like the rest of the world, i have to pay a lot more to get D3 than gamers from the States!!!

1 USD = 1.2008 NZD according to NZ foreign exchange service on 22nd of Feb, 11:50pm.

Diablo3 = 60 USD = ???? NZD (60 x 1.2 = 72)

Why do i have to pay almost double the price to play D3? Or does shipping cost $61 (133-72) NZD??

I probably will just buy this game on Amazon when it comes out. But then there will be lots of my friends from Australia and New Zealand who will be playing on the SEA server.

According to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EB_Games), GameStop and EBgames merged in year 2005, but Blizzard how can you let some greedy, cheap as videogame retailers rip off your loyal fans like this? Don't you have a recommended retailer price for overseas players??

If you are not from the states, please leave a comment and tell us how much you have to pay for D3 when it comes out. Is it similar to 60 USD? Or is it a lot more expensive? Maybe Blizzard can standardize the overseas price for their loyal overseas fans!!!

Well first of all we haven't announced a price for the game, so any costs being posted are guesses. I think you can probably look at the cost of a boxed copy of StarCraft II at your local brick and mortar and be pretty close to the cost for Diablo III, though. Looking at the link you posted they appear to be about the same.

I don't know much about retail pricing, but I do know that for some countries there are heavy import tariffs and taxes that can raise the cost of imported goods. Whether that's the case for New Zealand I honestly have no idea.
